The Good Ride's Take on Leather- Leather is very comfortable, very resistant to cuts when you grab a rail and very form fitting. The biggest issue we have with leather is how wet it can get. Now with so many good water proof inserts that have up to or more than 20K waterproofing it will not soak all the way through to your hands if you buy the high end gloves. Once leather is soaked it doesn’t dry as fast as other materials out there. So if you ride in dry weather and have little interaction with the snow you will enjoy the positives of owning a leather glove. If you live in wet weather then you might want to consider other materials or try to keep the leather to a minimum.
