Dakine Bronco Gore-Tex Snowboard Glove Review

A moderately warm good Park to All Mountain Solution

A good warm to cool weather glove for someone who doesn't like leather. Dakine doesn't do many things and that is why most of their gloves work rather well. These gloves have come a long way.  Our one complaint is that the liner of the Bronco tends to come loose and pull out.  Once it does its a serious pain in the ass to put back and keep in place  If you choose the Bronco then its best to size up instead of go for a form fitting glove.   See the Detailed Review Below

The Good Ride Take

The Dakine Bronco Snowboarding Glove Review By The Good Ride

A good glove for warm to cool weather glove for someone who doesn't like leather. These gloves have come a long way. The Bronco's have evolved from a good waterproof semi-warm glove to a great waterproof semi-warm glove. If you get liners, which will fit well, then you will be good for almost any medium to cold situation. When it gets really cold you might need something more than this. It's so pleasing to see another glove that doesn't use leather. Leather is used way too much. Snowboarders don't hold poles. Our hands interact with snow all day. Not every day is a frosty cold pow day.  The rubber palm makes it better to constantly wipe snow off your binidngs and interact with the snow.  The top will get wet on the outside but it will dry  a lot faster than a leather glove so by the next day you will have dry gloves.  The one thing we would like to see is a thicker rubber in the palm.  It seems too thin and to easy to cut through.

It has a flece or flece like lining and a low profile with a nice little zipper on the side.  The gloves are easy to take on and off so its a good choice if you have hot hands that need cooling off on the chair or have cell phone dependency issues.  The flece does a pretty good job not coming out when your hands do but it can happen over time.   They have nose wipes, GoreTex liners and are very comfortable. The finger dexterity is above average but not the best. If you want room for liners then you cant have that. The rubber on these gloves is sturdy and solid. The backs are designed well too.

Another Good Rider's Review:

Rare are the moments when you find your one true love, let alone two of them and they let you thrust your hands deep into. Sluts. I am of course referring to the entire line of gloves made by Dakine. Dakine is based at the bottom of Mount Hood in northern Oregon in a town called Hood River, also where Full Sail Brewery is located. Seems like they have got most peoples numbers with some decent beer, especially the Sessions Lager, and the best line of gloves ever produced. Gone are the days of the gloves you pull up to the elbow like you are about to reach into a cows ass, and then secure with a bungee cord. Out with these antiquated notions. For years now Dakine has dominated the market, as far as most am concerned, in the glove arena. Some of these gloves are so sinister that if you look close you can see that they are what Darth Vader is wearing in all the original Star Wars movies.

Biggest problem with gloves hands down is how well they retain their warmth. Because when your fingers start to hurt let alone go numb or worst case scenario, turn black, it can be exceedingly difficult to stay focused on the task at hand. And stopping in the lodge every other run is out of the question. If you suffer from any of these symptoms the remedy is a double dose, Dakine gloves. The biggest trip about these gloves aside from how warm they are would be their size. They are not mittens, finally for those of us how are not little kids, they do not unroll like a condom right up to the elbow and they are not in the least bulky. They are in size reminiscent of the first generation of spring riding gloves, but these champs are made for the depths of winter. Upon the first time seeing a pair of Bronco GTs, you might think you are looking at motorcycle gloves, but low and behold they are winter ready, with their sturdy construction, Gortex  material and very reasonable price.

As champion as these gloves are the only time that you will have to replace them is after five seasons of riding hard or maybe one season where you leave them on the roof of your car.
