Pow Sniper Glove Review

The Sniper has been around for a while and is a good 1 glove solution for moderate to warm resorts. The Sniper is missing some of the durability of the other gloves in the line but we do like that it comes with a liner, has a rubber palm and is adaptable from moderately cold to warm spring days. If you are looking for something that can handle a little more weather then try the Assault Glove or the Mega Glove.
For 2011 the Sniper has a new look that is more in line with the other Pow Gloves. We still question the durability from our older model but for the price you can't get a one glove solution for moderate weather. The 2012 Sniper has improved a lot over the past models with the addition of Gore-Tex.

We feel that POW is really on top of their game right now and makes some of the best gloves in the industry at a very fair price. POW is still small and well managed and that we feel is one of the reasons they are doing so well. From what we can tell there are 3 things that make their gloves better than the rest.
1. Their very smooth lining that allows your hands to get in and out of no matter how wet.
2. Their exceptional waterproofing. Their high end gloves have an insert called Hipora that is comparable to Gore-Tex and offers 20K waterproofing/breathability.
3. They make gloves that fit well and last a long time.
If you are looking for gloves then go over the POW line and find what works for you. You won’t be disappointed and will save money.

Sweaty hands are not that rad when you're hiking for fresh tracks. The Sniper has a zipper on the back-hand that lets you vent on the fly for total comfort. When arctic temperatures are in season zip up the Waterproof YKK zipper and put on your removable liner for an added layer of warmth.
