$29 The only audio option for Giro Helmets If you want audio then the Giro Tune Ups are almost your only choice for Giro Helmets. The Smith Single Shot and Double Shot will work with Giro Helmets just like the Tune Ups will work with Smith Helmets. They both come from Skull candy and have almost the same design. The one difference is Giro has a mute button that works with any MP3 player and Smith has a pause button that works with most mp3 players. The pause button is a good idea by Smith but we found it not to work with some MP3 players like Scan Disc. The Tune ups don't pause but the mute works on every device we can get our hands on. We really only reccomend the audio portion because the Cell Phone hook up does not work very well on the mountain. It usually sounds like you are in a wind tunnel unless you hide the mic in your jacket and talk into it. That being said the sound is the same as all the other earpads and the reliability is about the same as well. We feel this is the best option over listening to inner ear head phones or any noise cancelling audio option. It's always better to hear what is going on around you and these allow you to listen to music as well as hear warning yells or someone sliding out of control behind you.
In-helmet stereo audio system by Skullcandy offers great stereo sound with an in-line mute button and volume dial for quick, simple sound control when you need it.
