If you have a RED Helmet then you have no choice.
2009 and below was the best audio ear pad for helmets.   2010 they decided to create inserts that are just like the other audio inserts for all other helmets.  RED removed the one thing that made their helmets unique which was a mute button on the ear pad.  Now you have the same features as the other helmets and quite frankly it was the only reason a few of us bought RED Helmets.  This was easy to hit even with gloves on but the new helmets don't have this.  The RED Redphone audio quality is the same as all the other audio ear pads in the market which is not that great.  The good thing is you have enough sound to get into what you are listening to but you can also hear what could be coming right at you from behind.  That won't happen if you get ear plug style earphones.
