The Good Ride TakeThe Good Ride Take on K2 Company InfoK2 Maysis 2012Boa CondaFit on the fly The patented K2 CONDA System allows you to tighten, loosen or adjust your liner on-the-fly – from outside of the boot! The first time you try this, you’ll wonder how you ever rode without it. How it works: A Boa® is attached to the CONDA minimized harness is securely built into the shell of the boot and tightens around the liner to lock your foot in position. Focus is on the superior ankle support and heel hold. The harness lace is threaded through a floating tongue lace guide, allowing riders to customize fit for maximum comfort. ![]() Double BoaFully adjustable, inside-out fit The K2 Double Boa® System allows for separate adjustment and tightening of the liner and outer shell of the boot. Other two reel systems focus on upper and lower shell tightening. But if your liner isn't adjusted right, none of that helps. With a proper liner fit, the single coiler reel on the outer does the job. ![]() Harshmellow - BootsHEELS REJOICE Formulated for long lasting impact absorption and vibration killing, the same Harshmellow material used in boards and bindings can be found in our boots. These boots are great! After deciding to upgrade all of my gear this year I headed to my local shop to start my package with new boots. After 4 hrs of walking around in everything they had to offer I finally decided on the 2012 K2 Maysis. Besides them being a solid fit in terms of comfort they also had some awesome features. For one the internal Boa is awesome. Like mentioned in the good ride review it may not be for everyone. I also fully agree they should have a boa for lower and upper adjustment rather than just one for the outside of the boot. Although in my opinion no other boot really holds you in like the Maysis. The internal boa is adjustable to where you’d like it to sit in side the boot and it does take some adjusting. The first day I had it positioned right on the top of my foot, this lead to discomfort and numb toes. Since then I have pulled it up so it sits right above my ankle. This has worked the best for my foot and I have zero heal lift. This boot is also about a 5 in flex. Which is just great for an all around rider. I know it's hard to recommend boots because everyone’s foot is different but if these boots fit your foot I would definitely recommend them. |
