Patagonia Sidewall Snowboard Pant Review

Patagonia Sidewall Pants Womens

$175
2 Layer Shell
Just like the Sidewall Jacket these pants are at a good price and very durable.  They also have a non traditional Patagonia fit.  The Sidewalls  are more baggy and you won't see people Telemarkingin these pants.  The one difference between the Patagonia Sidewall  and the Other Goretex 2 layer shells is Patagonia uses a laminate where the others have an insert.  They both have the life time warranty and both are as waterproof as it can get. Yeah Patagonia isn't the first choice for snowboard clothing and is often called Pataguchi but hell they makes clothes that last forever.  Patagonia is the only clothing company that is closest to zero enviormental impact in the action sports industry.  Supporting them is like investing long term in the snow we ride.

Company Info

The dynamics of riding and skiing take place below the waist, and if your pants hold you back, you'll be anything but fluid. Technical yet supple Sidewalls combine unflappable nasty-weather performance with dynamic materials for hard-charging riders. The limber 2-layer 100% polyester fabric has a waterproof/breathable H2No barrier and a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish to ensure absolute storm protection. For smooth layering, the seat and thighs feature brushed polyester mesh, which adds insulation and moisture control; lower legs are lined in slick polyester mesh for excellent glide. Thigh vents regulate the heat. Burly scuff guards, fully featured gaiters and a higher waist in back provide protection from the elements. The waist has a three-button closure and interior elastic to adjust the fit. Loops on the rear yoke connect to the powder skirt of all Patagonia Ski/Snowboard jackets. Articulated knees. Two handwarmer pockets and a zip-closing thigh pocket with pass holder hold your essentials.

Patagonia Material Technology

  • 2-layer H2No shell fabrics are completely waterproof, windproof and breathable. They utilize an internal mesh or a wicking, hanging fabric liner to protect the waterproof barrier making them very comfortable and warm, even against the skin. 2-layer shell fabrics are versatile alternatives when you don't need the lightest or most durable shell available.
  • H2No is Patagonia's standard for 100% waterproof and breathable protection in our shell garments. H2No is created by adding a waterproof and breathable laminate or coating to a high performance protective fabric. This fabric package blocks wind and water on the outside while allowing water vapor generated by your body to escape - keeping you warm, dry and comfortable.
