Directional Camber Shape
The Arbor Element is made by nice guys who make good looking boards. Since 2011 the Arbor Element now comes in two models.  The CX (camber) and the RX (rocker).  The old school camber is going to have a more aggressive less forgiving ride for those that like the old school go big feel.  It doesn't look like any other board on the market and still rides very well. The areas where the Element CX Shines is groomers and carving.  The CX to us seems right in between the Burton Custom and Burton Custom X when it comes to flex.  The Element CX is good in powder but doesn't have the float and easy turn initiation that the RX will.  Some riders still prefer this riding style to a rocker style in powder but most prefer the effortless feeling that rocker provides.  If you have a lot of powder days then the RX might be the choice.  If you don't get much powder or live to carve then you might be more interested in the good ol CX.  For 2012 there is not much that has changed in terms of the ride except for a few refinements. All in all the Arbor Element CX still provides a good ride for those that still want camber.

THE TOPSHEET

POWER PLY - Arbor’s wood Power Ply works like a 3rd layer of fiberglass. During construction resin locks the Power Ply\'s dense natural fibers in place, creating an additional composite layer that structurally enhances a board for added return and improved durability.  Our Power Ply technology allows us to reduce our overall reliance on chemically treated fiberglass and petroleum-based resin by up to 20%, which also provides important weight reduction. Arbor’s wood Power Plys are produced using a range of sustainably sourced, natural wood veneers. The variance of real wood grain creates a one-of-a-kind look on each board made with this technology.

BIO-FILM - Every board in the Arbor line is built with an ultra thin protective top foil made using 30% caster bean based bio-plastic.  This top sheet protects the board from damage caused by loose bindings, out-of-control skiers, or other unforeseen impacts.  Its natural glossy nature also eliminates the need for environmentally harmful clear coats.

THE CORE

MYSTIC 1 CORE - A high-grade core for mixed mountain or park performance; built using FSC certified, sustainably produced “TDS” poplar and reinforced with two bamboo axels running tip to tail down the center of the core.  The bamboo axels create compression struts that liven up the longitudinal flex without affecting turn or spin initiation and landing recoverability.  Bamboo is one of the strongest materials on the planet.  It has 40 times the effective life of carbon fiber and provides 60% more return than traditional core materials.  Bamboo’s tensile strength and weight-to-strength ratio are superior to steel; yet bamboo is light, flexible, and resistant to compression.  TDS is a specially selected lighter grade of poplar wood.

SHADOW FLEX - A slight tapered thinning of the core profile between the bindings, improves: turn and spin initiation; tracking in mixed conditions, on the flats, and during landings; and performance on rails, boxes, and jibs.

THE BASE

ROCKET BASE - A higher molecular weight, wax-infused sintered base that provides unmatched durability and speed.

THE SIDECUT

STANDARD PROGRESSIVE - A blended tri-radial sidecut design that provides tighter turning and quicker initiation, while maintaining stability at speed, when flat boarding, and during landings

THE SIDEWALLS

RHYTHM RAILS - Made from an advanced blend of ABS and urethane; delivers durability, a clean, acoustically damp ride, and solid edge performance.

THE GLASS

MIXED GLASSING - A triax over biax lay-up that’s best for versatile on-mountain and park riding.

THE INSERTS

2X4 14-PACKS - Provides both a wide stance range and amazing micro adjustability; used here to create Arbor’s Mountain Stance, which has a max stance of 24.4\"/62cm

THE EDGES

RECYCLED STEEL - Built with hardened steel edges made using 60% recycled steel; provided maximum edge performance.

WARRANTY

TWO-YEAR - Every board in the Arbor line comes with a two-year warranty on material and workmanship.  We stand by everything we make.
