Hybrid Camber Twin Shape
Nidecker is one of the best snowboarding companies out there but they are virtually unknown in the US. They also make the YES and Jones Snowboards that are so Hansel right now in the US. I think but might be wrong but the blade is where the idea of the Yes Jackpot came from. The 2012's have the same specs, almost the same design, same hybrid camber and sizing.  They also have the same new sidecut called ultimate traction that adds a little more edge hold between the feet.  For 2012 the Blade also has a faster base than 2011. The Blade is a more aggressive version of hybrid camber (camrock) that has more camber between the feet than other nidecker boards to give it a little more spring between the feet.  It's not as poppy as a good camber board but it's pretty lively for a board of this design and tech level.  The The CamRock technology is very stable flat basing and at high speeds.  The float in powder is very good for a small twin and the board even has some good pop.  For the price you can't go wrong with a hybrid camber board like this.  This is an all park kind of ride that his mellow but happy anywhere.

The Good Ride Take

The Good Ride Take on Hybrid Camber
For the most part there are two types of hybrid camber that we see out there these days.

1. Mostly Rocker Hybrid Camber
This type of ride, like many boards, has camber and rocker but unlike other rockered boards the center has a mini camber. This is usually 1-3mm high, sits only between the bindings and then curves up right after. From a distance this board looks like a rocker board but when you look closer you see the little camber between the feet. This is not as loose as hybrid rocker but it’s very close. It is very stable between the feet and easy to one foot or flat base in any condition out there. Mostly Rocker Hybrid Camber is very versatile. You will see this design on anything from Freestyle to Freeride style snowboards. This will work well with all ability levels and riding styles.

2 Mostly Camber Hybrid Camber
There are all types of designs but this type usually looks like a Camber board and rides much closer to an old school Camber board.  ONe thing you will notice is usually when you step on the board the tip and tail rise up a lot more than a normal camber board will.  Some are mostly camber and others have a bit more rocker but you will always notice they have camber.  This allows for a stable, fast carve friendly feeling you get with camber but also makes it more catch free and floaty in powder.  This doesn't float effortlessly like hybrid rocker, mostly rocker hybrid camber or flat to rocker but it does better than camber.  You will mainly see this on aggressive freestyle to all mountain to freeride style snowboards.

Exclusive Nidecker
- Freeflex 1.0

By reducing the wood and fiberglass in the nose and tail, and by reinforcing them with lighter, yet stronger, materials such as carbon fiber and Kevlar, Free Flex technology allows us to lighten up the board significantly while increasing strength, durability, and pop. Free Flex also dam¬pens vibrations and provides a unique, light feel in turn tran-sitions, due to its reduced thic¬kness and profile.

- Ultimate Traction

BRAND NEW THIS YEAR! Following the 2005 invention of UG, the industry’s first traction enhancer, Nidecker, always wanting to stay on the cutting edge, took the next step and developed the revolutionary ULTIMATE TRACTION (UT). With UT, Nidecker’s engineers have taken serrated edges to ano¬ther level. By strategically positioning five bumps along the board’s effective edges instead of using a more conventional serration, we have created enhanced reactivity in all conditions. As a result, you will have more control of your board and way more fun!

- Better grip anytime, anywhere.
- More hold and less fatigue = better performance.
- Extra edge control and more reactivity on any mountain.

Core
- POP Core

This is the freestyle core of choice for our pro lineup. We added more ash in the nose and tail, and found the perfect combination of ma¬terials to give you more pop than any other snowboard offered today. The poplar and beech marriage is also a very lively and responsive core for all around riding.

Fiber
- Multiaxial

Nidecker’s exclusive light fiberglass, Triax, made with pride in Switzerland, incorporates a multi-layered, multi-axis fiberglass that is stitched together, resulting in a straight fiber laminate. Carbon fiber and Kevlar beams are incorporated in to the fiberglass, creating unequalled longitudi¬nal snap and liveliness.

- POP Carbon

The advantage of strategic carbon fiber placement in our boards allows for better response, and increased pop and stiffness. This is ideal for more aggressive riding, and it gives you a damper ride in all conditions.

Base
- 6000

A fast base with a dia¬mond-structured finish; this base is all about speed and resistance to impact. This base also has superior wax ab¬sorption qualities.

- Diamond

Stone & Diamond structured base on 2 axes to maximize glide and to optimize the dura-bility of the base.

- Die-Cut

Die-cut is a system in which we cut out different colors & shapes of base material. We then join the pieces together to create bright & very ap- pealing base designs.

Standard Nidecker
- Topsheet Duraclear

The most popular topsheet on the market, the Duraclear is strong and tough, able to withstand constant punishment.
