$379 Intermediate to Expert Freestyle to Jib Hybrid Camber Twin Shape The Flow Shifty is another hybrid camber twin shaped Jib board. There are many out this year that offer this size and riding style so it's up to you to choose which quiver board or full time jib park board you want. The Shifty's hybrid camber lives somewhere in between camber and flat rocker when it comes to pop. It's also not effortless when it comes to buttering but it's pretty fun for a mostly camber hybrid camber board. The sizing, price and ride is similar to the DC Ply in terms of riding style. Both have similar performance and both can handle a little more than the jib park.
This is where it all started or re-started in the Mid 2000’s. In the beginning Continuous Rocker was mainly for park and powder. Today it's still pretty much made for the same 2 functions. There are a few boards that are made for all mountain to freeride use but most of those have migrated to hybrid shapes. Continuous Rocker helps you maintain a catch free forgiving ride which is excellent for beginner riders or those who ride at slower playful speeds through the park. Almost every one we have tried has to be on edge or it will wander giving you that squirrely feeling like a skateboard with loose trucks. The biggest issue is it isn't very stable flat basing or one footing in firmer snow. Continuous rocker is for the most part really poppy and helps you generate your own air. There are many styles of this shape so this could be a good choice for beginners, park rats and people who only ride powder.
Flow's Shifty snowboard is built to destroy anything in its path. The TruTwin shape allows for equal control in any direction while Pop-Cam with a 3 phase camber delivers the optimal edge control, underfoot camber pop, and a flatter tip and tail so you can press and boost off jumps. Flow's Shifty is the ultimate in park performance.
