Flow Verve and Verve Wide Snowboard Review

Verve

Continuous Rocker Twin
Flow makes pretty decent boards for the price and the Verve is one of their more park oriented twins. This has one of Flow's most mellow curving continuous rocker shapes which makes for a pretty stable ride for a rocker board. It's going to be very catch free and fun on rails due to the rocker and the convex base.  It's borderline good on most jumps and everywhere else is just  average.  It's going to be a decent jib park board for the price that isn't terrible if you take it to other places in the park.

The Good Ride Take

The Good Ride Take on Continuous Rocker
reverse-free

This is where it all started or re-started in the Mid 2000’s. In the beginning Continuous Rocker was mainly for park and powder. Today it's still pretty much made for the same 2 functions. There are a few boards that are made for all mountain to freeride use but most of those have migrated to hybrid shapes.  Continuous Rocker helps you maintain a catch free forgiving ride which is excellent for beginner riders or those who ride at slower playful speeds through the park.  Almost every one we have tried has to be on edge or it will wander giving you that squirrely feeling like a skateboard with loose trucks.  The biggest issue is it isn't very stable flat basing or one footing in firmer snow.  Continuous rocker is for the most part really poppy and helps you generate your own air.  There are many styles of this shape so this could be a good choice for beginners, park rats and people who only ride powder.

The Verve is the perfect freestyle board for any park-specific shred. With a TruTwin shape and Flow’s new EZ-Rock reverse camber with a convex base it makes for more styled-out presses without sacrificing pop. An extruded Optix 2000 high density base allow for easy maintanance and more time riding.

Technology Boards

Super mellow reverse camber combined with a convex base for the railyard for easy riding without the edge catching. This is combined with camber starting before the binding area, providing stability, easy presses and agility, no matter where you mount your bindings.
Similar to the ReFlex core, TruFlex core technology features a high strength-to-weight wood construction utilizing different density poplar woods uniquely profiled to give you excellent all-around response when riding the mountain.
Whiskey Royale technology utilizes Biax Fiberglass beneath the heel and toe areas of the binding, eliminating chatter and making for a smoother ride. By directing the glass toward the edge, we increase the edge hold while allowing for quicker, easier turn initiation and delivering a responsive ride and increasing the life of the board.
A smooth, easy, torsional feel, the majority of the fibers are in the 0 axis to add extra pop and an easy torsional flex to the board. Easy carving for all-mountain or park performance.
A high-density, extruded base that is extremely easy to maintain and fix. The Optix 2000 is one of the highest waxabsorbing bases on the market and will give you all the speed you need even if you don’t wax on a regular basis.
Sidecut designed around our rocker boards, the EZDT is mellow between the bindings and at the tips with a more aggressive grip in the binding areas. This creates a more forgiving ride when things get a bit bumpy, and a tight radius blended for quick, snappy, powerful carving.
The TruTwin is the essence of shape for a park board. Equidistant amounts of nose and tail allow a rider equal opportunity to ride their natural direction or switch.
