The Artec Gabe Taylor, like all Artec Snowboards aren't going to blow your minds with advanced tech but for the price they all perform very well. You are getting a solid aggressive traditional camber snowboard that is a almost a great all conditions do anything type of ride. The Gabe Taylor has excellent edge hold and like the Artec Cipher is a technical go big freestyle board but just at a lower price point. This isn't as easy for directional powder riding as the Cipher but if you like a more centered stance and what camber can do in powder if you know how to keep it planing you might really like the Gabe Taylor. However if you like an easier ride in powder you won't find this a good time compared to the hybrid and rocker shapes out there. Morning groomers and pipe riding is really fun with this relatively narrow waisted board. It grips like the old Forum Seeker and just makes for a fun pipe ride. At this price the Gabe Taylor could be a quiver board for those that like a camber board when it's not dumping and then get a rocker or hybrid shape. It could also be a good one board solution if you don't mind the ride in powder.

With his home at Mammoth Mountain and the rugged central Sierras as his back yard, Gabe Taylor’s shred skills bear the distinct influence of spending time on some of the hugest park jumps know to man, and some of the heaviest backcountry terrain in the world. Every day Gabe rides this environment he has two choices, dominate or perish. With incredible versatility and skill, Gabe takes technical freestyle snowboarding to every bit of terrain the mountain has to offer. By combining a freestyle-focused blunt twin tip shape with a slightly more aggressive sidecut we designed the Gabe Taylor pro model to meet the all terrain freestyle demands Gabe puts on his board. Featuring our IsoTec wood core, BetaTec base, and DiTec sidewalls, the Gabe Taylor pro model delivers the speed, response and power needed to excel on the peaks, in the park, and everywhere in between. With it’s quick response and excellent edge hold, the Gabe Taylor is also a great board for riders of all ability levels

Gabe Taylor, all mountain freestyler, park crusher, Mammoth royalty. When designing a board for Gabe, all terrain and possibilities need to be taken into consideration. We combined a freestyle focused blunt twin tip design with a slightly more aggressive side cut for when Gabe takes his freestyle activities into the backcountry. Built to carve, the Gabe Taylor is also built to jib with DiTech sidewalls that provide a softer tip and tail for presses and easy low speed turn initiation. A fun board to ride for all ability levels, an amazing board to ride for throwing down, the Gabe Taylor dominates.

As my snowboarding progresses so does my snowboard. I need a snowboard I can trust whether I’m standing on top of a Canadian peak or taking park laps until the lifts close. This year my board is a further refinement of design ideas that work for me. It has a perfect combination of flex, shape and art I’m stoked on.
