Forum The Sauce Snowboard Review

sauce-147
$319
Intermediate to Expert Jib/Street
Continuous Rocker Twin Shape
The forum Sauce is a great Jib snowboard made for the bigger technical tricks in the jib park.  It won a good wood award so a lot of good riders liked it on the couple runs they took it on.  The Sauce is a very solid choice for anyone who likes to take a street style to the mountain.  We'd like to see more edge hold but can't say it's a bad board in any way.  If you ride in hard/icy conditions you might want to look at the Gnu B Nice.   If you ride in good conditions and want a soft, playful, buttery jib board then you will be very happy with the Sauce.  Not much has changed from 2011 to 2012.

The Good Ride Take

A quick look at the 2012 Forum Sauce

The Good Ride Take on Continuous Rocker
This is where it all started or re-started in the Mid 2000’s. In the beginning Continuous Rocker was mainly for park and powder. Today it's still pretty much made for the same 2 functions. There are a few boards that are made for all mountain to freeride use but most of those have migrated to hybrid shapes.  Continuous Rocker helps you maintain a catch free forgiving ride which is excellent for beginner riders or those who ride at slower playful speeds through the park.  Almost every one we have tried has to be on edge or it will wander giving you that squirrely feeling like a skateboard with loose trucks.  The biggest issue is it isn't very stable flat basing or one footing in firmer snow.  Continuous rocker is for the most part really poppy and helps you generate your own air.  There are many styles of this shape so this could be a good choice for beginners, park rats and people who only ride powder.
