Beginner to Advanced All mountain to Freeride
2010 & 2011 Camber Directional Shape

2012- Hybrid Camber Directional Shape
The Jett is a much more mellow version of the Rome Blue. The 2010/2011 Rome Jett is a solid camber board that can be used just about anywhere.  This is one of our favorite directional all mountain camber boards in this price range. For 2012 the Jett added the hybrid camber tech that is in the Rome Blue which improves performance in powder.   It really improves the ride over the 2010 and 2011 models. This is perfect for anyone who wants to get their edge to edge transitioning down and begin the road to understanding the technical approach to every aspect of all mountain riding. It's also a great freeride board that will help you learn how to correctly carve out a good turn.  Even though the Jett has a shape of the Blue it has a softer flex so it makes for a more versitle directional board.  It's not going to have the speed or stiffer dynamic feel of the Blue but it will be easier to turn and more forgiving.  This a good ride favorite for those who want to get into the mostly mountain riding game at a low price.  As you get better the Jett won't become obsolete like many beginner to intermediate snowboards.  The Rome Jett will even be fun for an expert rider who just wants to take it mellow and make good turns but most expert riders arent that way so that is why we feel the Jett will be a good mid level.  The extruded base is one of our only complaints about the Jett but it does provide an almost maintenance free ride.

The Good Ride Take

A quick look at the 2012 Rome Jett

The Good Ride Take on Rome
Rome is relatively new but has some of the best people in the industry working there.  For example the designer of the Burton custom is now a principle and designer at Rome.  Their strong point is that they make exceptional park and all mountain snowboards.  They make boots and bindings that are loved or hated but don’t have the rep that their boards have.  From what we have experienced with their clothing its well made, fits well and the waterproofing isn’t bad for the price.   Their gloves are hit or miss and don’t really have the rep that their clothing does.  They have exceptional customer service and everyone at Rome seems to really love what they are doing so if you have an issue it will most likely be handled professionally.   Rome hasn’t really been leading the innovation charge the last few years but almost everything they make is well thought out and fun to use.   Rome has the average to 100+ day freestyle to all mountain rider dialed out.
