Intermediate to Expert
All Mountain
Directional Camber
A mid priced mid level board that should do a good job just about anywhere on the mountain.  Arbor makes a unique board and they are a company that is hard to hate. Cambered boards still have many good qualities that should not be dismissed.  Making a big carvy turn on a cambered board is still soooo much more fun!  This is one of the better beginner to advanced boards out there for women who want to learn every facet of snowboarding.  For 2011 there were some minor adjustments to the Eden but all in all it is very similar to the 2010.

A lively all-mountain women's specific design that’s ideal for cruising the groomers, lapping the park, sliding boxes, and exploring the trees; the Eden is all about value and independence in the face of preconceptions.

THE TOPSHEET

WOOD POWER PLY - Arbor’s wood Power Ply works like a 3rd layer of fiberglass - during construction resin locks the dense natural fibers in place, creating a composite layer that structurally enhances a board for added return and improved durability, while allowing for important weight reduction. The Power Ply technology allows Arbor to reduce our overall reliance on chemically treated fiberglass and petroleum-based resin by up to 20%.  The Power Ply is produced using sustainably sourced, natural wood veneer. The variance of real wood grain creates a one-of-a-kind look on each board made with this technology.

BIO-FILM - Every board in the Arbor line is now built with an ultra thin protective top foil made using 30% caster bean based bio-plastic.  This top sheet protects the board from damage caused by loose bindings, out-of-control skiers, or other unforeseen impacts.  Its natural glossy nature also eliminates the need for environmentally harmful clear coats.

WOOD CORE

MISSION CORE - Our most affordable core, built using a combination of FSC certified, sustainably produced poplar and a high-density composite that’s made with 30% reclaimed wood fiber for improved strength and reduced weight.

BASE

FUSION BASE - A tough, user-friendly extruded base that’s light and easy to repair.

SIDECUT

STANDARD PROGRESSIVE - A blended tri-radial sidecut design that provides tighter turning and quicker initiation, while maintaining stability at speed and during landings.

SIDEWALLS

RHYTHM RAILS - Made from an advanced blend of ABS and urethane; delivers durability, a clean, acoustically damp ride, and solid edge performance.

GLASS BALANCING

BUTTER GLASSING - A biax over biax lay-up that’s designed for park and street inspired all-mountain and urban riding

INSERTS

4X4 8-PACKS - Provides the lightest weight performance and affordability; used to create Arbor’s:

Bella Stance - Max Stance: 23.1" / 59 cm

SHADOW FLEX

MEDIUM SHADOW - Delivers mountain and park performance.  A slight tapered thinning of the core profile between the bindings, improves: turn and spin initiation; tracking in mixed conditions, on the flats, and during landings; and performance on rails, boxes, and naturals.

EDGES

RECYCLED STEEL - Built with hardened steel edges made with 60% recycled steel; provides maximum edge performance.

2-YEAR WARRANTY

Every board in the Arbor line comes with a two-year warranty on material and workmanship.  We stand by everything we make.

Arbor Eden 2010

Paradise found.

A women-specific all-mountain board that’s ideal for lapping the park, sliding rails, exploring the trees, or cruising the groomers. A structural erable wood top gives this board’s soft flex more pop and livelier return. The directional Eden is about value and independence in the face of preconceptions.

Mission Core

Our most affordable core, built using grade A poplar and a high-density composite material that is made with a 30% reclaimed wood fiber content.  The wood fiber is added to improve strength and reduce weight.

Protecting the planet is about the environments we utilize everyday. We need clean air to skate, clean water to surf, and snow to ride.

STRUCTURAL WOOD TOPSHEET
- Works like a 3rd layer of fiberglass - during construction resin locks the dense wood fibers in place, creating a composite layer that structurally enhances a board, providing added return and durability, while allowing for important weight reduction.

FSC CERTIFIED WOOD CORES
- All of Arbor’s wood cores are made with poplar that has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council as sustainably produced.  Poplar is still the best choice as a primary wood core material due to its combination of lighter-weight performance, durability, and availability.

It's true what they say about a good old fashioned camber board! I am an intermediate, all mountain rider, I just love cruising the grooms and occasionally trying my hand in the park, this board is perfect for this type of riding. She makes beautiful turns and holds really well, no catching edges on this baby. On my first ride down the mountain, I felt an immediate sense of security and oneness with the board. I started riding faster and with more confidence than I ever have before. I think it's a really great board too for a female who wants to take it from beginner to intermediate and do it with ease. An advanced rider would have a lot of fun on this board too. Although it's not bad in this area, it probably doesn't have enough flex to ride in the park/rails all day though if that's what you want to do this would not be the board.

I bought this board in 2011, it was on sale from the last of the 2009/10 stock and was an excellent price. It's a shame they have discontinued it this year, but if you come across an old stock model or second hand one, I would make sure you buy it if you ride the mountain like I do.

I Would also like to take the opportunity thank The Good Ride for helping me find this board, by providing me an abundance of excellent info on the website, you guys are champs:)
